Volunteer Stream Monitor Training

If you are in the DC metro area, here is a great opportunity to connect with nature through this citizen science program in Arlington County this Saturday.

Volunteer Stream Monitor Training
Saturday, September 15th. 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Location: Arlington. The exact location will be provided with your confirmation e-mail.

Are you interested in learning more about Arlington’s streams or volunteering and meeting others that share that interest? Get trained become a volunteer stream monitor! Stream monitors visit a monitoring site three times a year with their team and collect data on the health of Arlington’s streams. We especially need monitors for Little Pimmit, Gulf Branch, Donaldson Run, and some of our Four Mile Run sites. Equipment is provided to each monitoring team.
