Annual American Horticultural Society Plant Sale at River Farm
April 12 – 14*
This sale features natives, annuals, perennials, shrubs, herbs and vegetables for sale by vendors throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Garden supplies and art also available.
*AHS members-only preview on April 12. Sale opens to the public on Friday, April 13.

Spring Blossom Garden Tour at Green Spring Gardens
April 14, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
With the National Cherry Blossom Festival underway, enjoy this cherry blossom themed tour and tea: Master gardener docents lead you through the gardens, highlighting cherry trees and other early spring bloomers. Hear stories of these harbingers of spring and learn how they grow. Afterwards, enjoy Japanese tea and sweets in the Historic House.

24th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup
April 14, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Eco-City Alexandria is seeking volunteers at three sites connected with Four Mile Run: Mt. Vernon Avenue at Four Mile Run, 3700 Commonwealth Ave, and Eaton Square Clubhouse at 801 Four Mile Rd. To participate, contact Jesse Maines at jesse.maines@alexandriava.gov or 703-746-4071.
